On the Breakdown, you will often see negative tips in your Tip Pool Net and Tip Share Net columns, this is nothing to be alarmed about.

These columns show the tips sent and received via your Tip Pools and Tip Sharing Rules for tip-earning and tip-receiving job codes.

You can hover over the blue circles for more information about each column.

It is very common to see negative numbers here for tip earners, such as servers, bartenders, and baristas.

Click on any of the blue numbers for more details on the distribution. In this display window, you will see the Employee Name, Job Code, Date Range, and Net Amount.

When you click on the box to the left of the day of the week, you will see each rule's distributed tips.

In the image below, Christelle sent more money than she received via the Server to BOH rule and Server to Pizza/Sandwich/Salad rule, resulting in a negative number in the right-hand column.

Clicking on the plus sign to the left of the rule name will allow you to see individual sales and distributions for the given rule.

As you can see in the distributions, a negative Tip Pool Net or Tip Share Net is simply the tips sent from a job code to a Tip Pool or Tip Sharing Rule.
