Understanding Your HausMoney Card

The HausMoney Card is a unique card that helps you manage your spending and build your credit. Unlike a traditional credit card, the amount you can spend is based on the money you move into your account. Let’s break down how it works.

1. Move Money to Your Card

Your Available to Spend balance is the money you've transferred into your HausMoney Card account. You have two convenient options for adding funds.

  • Tip Payouts: Recurring transfers like tip payouts provide a simple, stress-free way to ensure you always have funds ready to spend.

  • Manual Transfers: If you prefer, you can also transfer money manually from your bank account to your HausMoney Card whenever you want to increase your Available to Spend balance.

You can make changes to your transfer settings or move money out of your account at any time.

2. Spend with Your Card

You can use your HausMoney Card anywhere Mastercard® is accepted, worldwide. It's a great tool for managing your daily purchases and staying on top of your finances.

  • Stay on Top of Your Spending: Your Available to Spend balance is the money you've moved into your account, so there are no surprises or outstanding balances. You can even set up automatic payments for recurring expenses.

  • No Impact on Credit Utilization: We do not report credit utilization to the credit bureaus. This means using your HausMoney Card won't negatively impact your credit score, giving you complete control over your spending and account balance.

3. Build Credit

Using your HausMoney Card consistently and responsibly can help you build a strong credit history. We report your payment history to the three major credit bureaus (Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion), and here's how we help you do that.

  • Build Credit with On-Time Payments: Paying on time is one of the most important factors in building a good credit score. At the end of each month, we'll use the money in your account to pay your balance in full and report it. This means everyday purchases like groceries and bills can help strengthen your credit history.

  • Ensure On-Time Payments with AutoPay: To make credit building even easier, we offer AutoPay. When you make a purchase, the money for that purchase is set aside in your account. At the end of the month, AutoPay uses those funds to pay your balance automatically. This helps you avoid late payments and outstanding balances, ensuring your credit-building efforts are always on track.
