HausDirect is a service that allows your employees to receive their tip earnings from you sooner than their standard payroll. When an employee signs up, they designate a preferred debit card. TipHaus then uses that card to deposit their earnings whenever you issue a payout.
Understanding the HausDirect Payout Fees
Using the HausDirect service might include a fee, called a "Payout Fee," for employees to receive their tip earnings.
How is the fee applied?
A fee is charged each time you issue an employee a tip payout.
If an employee is required to cover this fee, they will only be charged for the first payout each day, even if you initiate payouts more than once in a single day.
How much is the fee?
Each payout incurs a fee of up to $1.25 to cover the cost of the transfer.
You can choose to cover some or all of this fee as an added benefit for your employees. The final amount an employee pays depends on this decision.
The fee for your organization will also be listed on the employee's screen before they sign up.
How can employees see their paid fees?
In their Employee App, the "Fee per Payout" line shows the amount the employee is responsible for with each transaction.
The "Payout Fees" line shows the total fees the employee has paid during the current pay period.
Is there a fee-free option for employees?
Yes. If an employee signs up for a Hausmoney account and uses it as their preferred payout method, all of their payouts are free. Alternatively, employees can opt not to sign up for the Earned Tip Access program and continue receiving their tips on their paycheck.
