Employee App: Understanding Your Employees' Earned Tip Access™ Metrics

This guide helps you understand how your employees' payout information is displayed with complete transparency in the TipHaus Employee App.

Earned Tip Access™ Breakdown

The Earned Tip Access™ Breakdown shows employees detailed information about their payouts. A banner at the top of their screen displays the current payout method they are using.

This section shows the following data:

  • Eligible Take Home: The total amount of tips an employee is eligible to receive.

  • Available to Pay Out: What is currently available for the employee to cash out.

  • Amount Reserved: The portion of earnings held in reserve for taxes or other reconciliation purposes.

  • Amount Paid Out: The total amount that has been paid out to the employee

  • Payout Fees: Any fees associated with their payouts.

  • Net Amount Received: The employee's final take-home amount after any fees are deducted.


Earned Tip Access™ Summary

The Earned Tip Access™ Summary provides a snapshot of an employee's account and activity for the selected pay period. This summary includes:

  • Effective Date: The employee's enrollment date for the service.

  • Card on File: The last four digits of their connected bank card.

  • Fee Per Payout: The fee amount (for Hausdirect users).

  • Total Payouts Received: The total number of payouts the employee has received during the selected pay period.


Payout History

For a more detailed view, employees can click on Total Payouts Received to access their Payout History. This screen gives them a complete record of their payouts for the chosen pay period.

Here they will find:

  • The Payout Method: The service used for the transaction (e.g., hausdirect, hausmoney).

  • Date and time of the transaction: The exact date and time of the payout.

  • Fee amount: Any fees charged (for Hausdirect users).

  • Amount Paid Out: The gross amount paid out before fees.

  • Net Amount Received: The final amount the employee received after fees.
