The Earned Tip Access™ (ETA) Page Overview

The Earned Tip Access™ (ETA) page allows you to manage employee eligibility and invitations, track your staff's sign-up progress, and initiate payouts. Easily navigate pay period data and export detailed reports to streamline your tip management process.

Navigating the Earned Tip Access™ Page

To access the Earned Tip Access™ Page, find it in the left-hand navigation menu of your dashboard. Once opened, you'll see an overview of your organization's ETA program for the current pay period.

  • Filters: Use the Quick Filters to switch between the current and previous pay periods, sort by employee sign-up status, or search for specific individuals by name. You can only export the data for the last two pay periods.

  • Payout History: Click on the blue numbers under the "Amount Paid Out" column to see a breakdown of each employee's payout history.​

Overview Tab

The Overview tab offers a summary of current and past pay periods. It also allows you to manage your employees' ETA Program eligibility.

  • Initiate Payout: Use the Initiate Payout button to process tip payouts for eligible employees. Payouts are only available for employees with active ETA accounts and an available amount to pay out.

  • Export: Click the Export button to generate CSV reports for the selected pay period. Exported data reflects the current Overview or Payout tab information and is ideal for sharing with accounting teams or maintaining records.

  • Completed Sign-Up: Use the Completed Sign-Up button to approve or deny employee applications for the ETA program.


Payouts Tab

The Payouts tab provides a detailed view of all initiated payouts, allowing you to track, review, and manage payouts with ease. This tab is essential for maintaining transparency and addressing any issues when paying out your staff.

  • Check Employee ETA Sign-Up Status: You can check the status of each payout—marked as Successful, Partially Successful, or Failed— to ensure all funds are correctly distributed.

  • View Details: Click on a payout to see more details of the transaction. This will display a breakdown that provides a comprehensive view of the transaction details, including the total amount paid, any Hausdirect transfer fees, the initiator of the payout, the associated pay period, and completion time.

Note: You can only initiate payouts for employees with an active ETA account. Tips will be available in your employee's accounts around 5 minutes after initiating the payout. Depending on your organization's settings, tips owed from the previous pay period when the employee signed up for the ETA program might have to be paid outside of TipHaus.


Why Did My Last Payout Fail? - Troubleshooting Failed Payouts ​

If you experience a Failed or Partially Successful payout, you can click on the payout to access a detailed breakdown. For failed payouts, you can click Show Detail to view the specific error message for each individual's payout.

Important note: Some organizations only allow one payout per day or week, so please confirm your company's payout policy before trying again.

⚠️ Escrowed amounts from failed payouts are automatically held until the issue is resolved in the next payout. ⚠️
