If an employee has worked shifts, has take-home available, and has already signed up for the ETA program, but still shows nothing under the ETA tab, this is most often due to their ETA effective date.

When an employee completes sign-up, their ETA account becomes active starting from the pay period in which they were verified. Any tips earned before this effective date won't appear in the ETA payout view.

How to check this:

🟢 ⬅️ Hover over the green dot next to their name in the ETA overview. A tooltip will display the effective date for their account.

If that date falls into a different pay period than the one you're attempting to pay out, you have two options:

  1. Pay the employee outside of TipHaus for the previous tips, and continue using ETA starting from their effective date onward.

  2. Contact TipHaus Support to request an effective date that is backdated so that earlier tips can be included in an ETA payout.

⚠️ Please be careful not to also pay that amount via paycheck or through other means, to avoid duplicate payments.
