You can create two different types of QR codes:

  • Individual Employees QR codes: A unique code assigned to a specific employee or group of employees.

  • Job Codes QR codes: A code assigned to a job code or group of job codes (e.g., "Front of House," "Kitchen Staff").

How To Create a New QR Code

  1. Navigate to the QR Tipping tab.

  2. Select the Management sub-tab.

  3. Click the create to create a new code and select the desired type (Employee or Job Code QR).

Job Code QR Codes

Job Code QR codes allow for automated tip sharing between roles. You can link primary and secondary job codes so that tips are automatically split between them based on a set percentage.

Follow these steps to set up a new Job Code QR Code.

  • Step 1: Define QR Code Details

    • Set a descriptive name for the QR Code.

    • Select the location where the QR Code will be used.

  • Step 2: Assign Job Codes

    • Select the primary job codes to associate with the code.

    • Select the secondary job codes, if applicable.

Share Percentage: Assign a fixed percentage of the tips from the primary job code to be shared with the secondary job code.

Individual Employees QR codes

Employee QR codes allow your customers to tip individual staff members. When a customer scans an employee's QR code, the tip is routed directly to that employee's take-home. These codes are assigned to a specific individual and are non-transferable.

Follow these steps to create one or more unique QR codes for your employees:

  • Step 1: Select Location and Employees

    • Choose the correct Location where the employee works.

    • From the list, select the employee(s) for whom you wish to create a code.

  • Step 2: Review and Submit

    • Click Review and Submit to generate the personal QR codes.

Managing Existing QR Codes

Click on the three dots located at the right of each QR code to deactivate it or edit it (you can only edit Job Code QR codes).

  • Deactivating a QR Code: If an employee leaves, you can deactivate their code. Inactive codes are marked with an icon, and customers can no longer use them to tip.

  • Exporting Assignments: Use the "Export" option to download a complete list of your QR codes and their assignments.
