Manual Job Code Assignments allow you to set a permanent job code for an employee, overriding the data from your point-of-sale (POS) system. You might want to assign a job code to your staff for several reasons.

For instance, you may wish to ensure that "ghost" employees and "online orders" are always clocked in with the correct job code to trigger tip-sharing rules. Alternatively, you might manually assign a "manager" job code to any staff member who should always distribute 100% of their tips through a tip pool and would never clock in under a different job code than "manager."

Permanent job code assignments override all of an employee’s sales and shifts. Job code assignments are not recommended unless the employee’s job code is never expected to change.


How To Permanently Assign Job Codes To Your Staff

Navigate to the Settings > Locations > Employees tab, and click on the”+” sign, from there, you’ll be able to assign a job code to the selected employee.
