Intro to TipHaus Mobile Employee App: Peer-to-Peer
The Peer-to-Peer functionality in the TipHaus Mobile Employee app allows employees to share tips with their teammates for all of the typical industry reasons!
Scenario 1:
Busser Alex went above and beyond for Server Martha this shift, and Martha wants to send Alex a few dollars as a token of appreciation for being a great teammate.
Scenario 2:
Bartender Susanna picks up a shift for her colleague Taylor, who really wanted to see a concert for her favorite band when she was scheduled to work. Taylor then sends her $20 with a note that says "I'll pick up a shift for you next week - thank you!"
In a world where cash is becoming increasingly less prevalent, the Peer-to-Peer functionality in TipHaus allows employees to electronically share a percentage of their take-home tips from the current pay period. These transactions are simple, secure, and automatically reconciled in the Breakdown before payroll!
Note: Peer-to-Peer is free, but it is not enabled for all organizations. If you would like to have this enabled, talk to your management about enabling this for your TipHaus account.

For organizations without Earned Tip Access, employees can share the tips they've earned throughout the pay period. After the last day of the pay period, their amount resets and they can only share from the current day's tips. | For organizations using Earned Tip Access, employees can share up to 50% of tips they earned as tips on the current day. They cannot share tips from the previous day. |
How to Send Money via Peer-to-Peer
By navigating to the Peer-to-Peer tab (arrows facing the opposite direction) on the bottom of the TipHaus Mobile Employee App, an employee can see which Peer-to-Peer transactions have occurred this pay period, or start a new transaction.
By tapping the "+" icon in the bottom right-hand corner, an employee can start a new Peer-to-Peer transaction.
After tapping the "+", employees will go through three steps to complete the Peer to Peer transaction:
Select the co-worker they want to send money to.
Enter the amount of money they'd like to send.
Confirm the transaction by entering their TipHaus PIN as well as adding an optional note.
Note: If an employee forgot their TipHaus PIN, they can reset it on the settings page of the Employee App.
