Employee App: How to Add TipHaus as an "App" on Your Mobile Device

A step-by-step guide on adding a website to the home screen of any Android, Apple, or Windows smartphone or tablet

TipHaus can easily be made to work as an app on your phone. This article contains simple, step-by-step instructions to set up TipHaus like an app for Android, Apple, and Windows users.


Android (Chrome for Android)

Step 1: Using Chrome for Android, launch the website or webpage that you would like to pin to your device's home screen. https://my.tiphaus.com/login

Step 2: Once you have located your website or webpage, open the menu (3 dots in the upper right-hand corner of the screen), and select "Add to homescreen".

Step 3: Choose a name for your new shortcut. You may now drag and drop the icon to your desired location as you would with any other app on your home screen.


Android (Firefox for Android)

Step 1: Using Firefox for Android, launch the website or webpage that you would like to pin to your device's home screen.

Step 2: Once you have located your website or webpage, open the menu (3 dots in the upper right-hand corner the screen), tap the "Page" option, and select "Add to Home Screen".

Step 3: Choose a name for your new shortcut. You may now drag and drop the icon to your desired location as you would with any other app on your homescreen.


iPad

Step 1: Using Safari, launch the website or webpage that you would like to pin to your device's home screen.

Step 2: Once you have located your website or webpage, tap the share button on the Safari toolbar (square with an upward-pointing arrow in the upper left-hand corner of the screen), and select "Add to Home Screen" from the share menu's list of icons.

Step 3: When prompted, choose a name for your new shortcut. You may now drag and drop the icon to your desired location as you would with any other app on your home screen.

Note: Due to current iOS restrictions, this feature is only available on Safari.


iPhone and iPod Touch

Step 1: Using Safari, launch the website or webpage that you would like to pin to your device's home screen.

Step 2: Once you have located your website or webpage, tap the share button on the Safari toolbar (square with an upward-pointing arrow at the center of the bottom of the screen), and select "Add to Home Screen" from the share menu's list of icons.

Step 3: When prompted, choose a name for your new shortcut. You may now drag and drop the icon to your desired location as you would with any other app on your home screen.

Note: Due to current iOS restrictions, this feature is only available on Safari.


Windows Tablets and Phones

Step 1: Using Microsoft Edge, launch the website or webpage that you would like to pin to your device's home screen.

Step 2: Once you have located your website or webpage, open the menu (3 dots in the bottom center of the screen). Scroll down, and select "Add to screen".

Step 3: Choose a name for your new shortcut, and tap "Add". You may now drag and drop the icon to your desired location as you would with any other app on your home screen.


Other Devices and Browsers


Don't see your device listed here? Most modern smartphones and tablets offer this feature! Open the browser on your device, and search its menu for an option that says "Pin to home screen", "Add to home screen", or "Add to screen". Once you no longer need the shortcut, simply delete it as you would any other app on your home screen.
