Introduction to the TipHaus Mobile Employee App
The TipHaus Employee App gives your employees the power to:
Analyze their key metrics, such as their Tip Percentage, Hours Worked, and Take-Home Per Hour.
Hone in on which shifts make them the most money.
Stay current on the Tip Rules set up at your organization and understand how those rules affect their take-home tips.
Send a portion of their take-home to other employees via the "Peer to Peer" function.
Sign up for Earned Tip Access to receive daily payouts via HausMoney or HausDirect.
Personalize their view across any custom date range while granting access to multiple locations under your organization.
Let's dive in real quick to share what your employees can find in the Employee App.
Filter total take-home earnings by specific dates
By default, the app filters for the "Current Pay Period" right below their take-home amount. Next to that text, they will see an icon of a pencil inside a square. Clicking this opens the Date/Range Selector, allowing them to filter by Today, Last Worked Day, Current Pay Period, or a Custom Date Range
How to Change Locations in the Employee App
If your employees work at multiple locations, they can easily toggle between them. In the top-left corner of the Home Page, they will see the name of the location they are currently viewing. By clicking on the location name, a drop-down menu will appear showing all the locations they work at, allowing them to filter the data they want to see.
⚠️ Important Note: If your employee's location name does not appear and they only see their take-home amount, it means they have not yet been added to that new location in the system. Please have your management team reach out to our support team at support@tiphaus.com for assistance
Exploring the Home Page
The Home Page of the Employee App gives your employees instant visibility into their key metrics, including tips received from sales, pooled or shared tip distributions, CC tip fees, and their total take-home pay across specific date ranges. They can also filter by location, customize their widgets, and arrange their layout so the information they care about most is always front and center.
When your employees view their tip distribution data, it is important they understand how the numbers are displayed:
Positive values (+): Indicate tips that they received or registered.
Negative values (-): Indicate tips that they shared or contributed to the team.
⚠️ Important Note: Please keep in mind that they may not see every value or widget mentioned in this guide. The information and features displayed in their app depend entirely on the specific rules and settings configured by your organization.
How to Share Your QR Code to Receive Tips
If your organization has the QR Tipping feature enabled, your employees can easily share their unique QR code with guests to receive tips directly!
To find and share their code:

Access Their Unique Code: Tapping on this icon will immediately redirect them to a page displaying their personalized QR code.
Receive Tips: Simply show this screen to customers so they can scan it with their phone and send a tip directly to the employee!

Customizing Your View (Edit Widgets)
At the bottom of the Home Page, your employees will find an Edit Widgets bar. Clicking this opens a menu showing all available widgets. From here, they have full control over their layout; they can remove widgets they don't need to see, drag and drop them into their preferred order, and save their personalized view so the most important information is always front and center!
Why Do Employee Totals Keep Changing Even After I Was Already Paid?
Your employees might notice that their take-home amount and other values can change after the day ends or even after they've been paid. Totals in the Employee App may update due to refunds or shift adjustments processed before the end of the pay period.
Calculations typically run the next day, but they may change if you receive updated data, such as edits to tip-sharing rules or pools, sale edits or refunds, time-punch corrections, or new Peer-to-Peer transactions. If this happens, please contact your employees for details on what may have affected their take-home pay. For further help, you can always contact our support team.
